No encore this time. Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Atlantic City, which opened its doors in October 2005, is officially closed for business. Not only was its lease up this past October, but Superstorm Sandy also battered the venue, leaving a hole in the roof. New Jersey got the brunt of the damage from Sandy, causing $37 billion in damage. "With the end of the lease and with Sandy, we decided we had a great run, and it was time to move on,” spokesperson Ron Berkowitz told The Press of Atlantic City. If you’re looking to bottle-pop in the Tri-State, just hit up Hov’s other 40/40 locations in Manhattan or Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center. (VIBE)Oh well, Jay-Z has money everywhere. He'll be all right.
